As of November 2025 there is no longer the data available to update this site.

PFS Science are still updating the covid in NZ wastewater site https://poops.nz every two weeks and still providing their data at https://github.com/ESR-NZ/covid_in_wastewater for those comfortable analysing data yourselves.

However, nobody else is publishing their data, so there is nothing for me to aggregate together. The Ministry of Health is still updating a Power BI dashboard at https://www.tewhatuora.govt.nz/for-health-professionals/data-and-statistics/covid-19/reporting but not providing the data for download (and the dashboard y axis is based on all time maximum for the pandemic making it tricky to read details now).

So what I suggest is, if you want to be able to compare covid in wastewater between different collection sites and over time, go to https://poops.nz and click on the Map option to check the closest collection point(s) to you.

If you want the general trend of hospital admissions (up to a few weeks before publication date), check the dashboard https://www.tewhatuora.govt.nz/for-health-professionals/data-and-statistics/covid-19/reporting
